Description

Traditional Spanish Country Villa with Guest Casita, Swimming Pool and Mountain Views in Hondón de los Frailes

If you have been dreaming of owning a traditional Spanish villa surrounded by breathtaking countryside, mature gardens and spectacular mountain views, this charming home could be exactly what you have been searching for.

Positioned just above the beautiful village of Hondón de los Frailes, in the heart of the Alicante countryside, this delightful villa captures everything people fall in love with about inland Spain. Graceful arches, colourful bougainvillea, swaying palm trees, a sparkling swimming pool and uninterrupted mountain views combine to create a home that immediately feels welcoming.

Set on a fully fenced, level plot of 1,377 m², the property is accessed through a remotely operated sliding entrance gate. Inside the grounds you will find a spacious imprinted driveway leading through the established gardens to the villa, together with two covered parking spaces beneath the carport.

One of the first things visitors notice is the abundance of mature trees. Not only do they provide welcome shade during the warmer months, but they also create a wonderful sense of privacy and tranquillity. Having lived and worked in the Hondón Valley for many years, we know just how valuable natural shade becomes during the long Mediterranean summers.

A full-width covered terrace stretches across the front of the villa and is undoubtedly the heart of the home. The current owners use this beautiful space throughout the year as their principal sitting and dining area, enjoying uninterrupted views across the gardens, swimming pool and surrounding mountains. Can you imagine enjoying breakfast here as the sun rises over the valley, or sharing dinner with family and friends on a warm summer evening?

From the terrace you enter the bright open-plan living room, dining area and recently modernised kitchen. The lounge features a traditional log-burning fireplace, hot and cold air conditioning, together with infrared heating panels, making the property comfortable in every season.

The contemporary kitchen has been thoughtfully designed with quality appliances, a central island, a generous gas hob and extractor hood, providing everything an enthusiastic cook could wish for. Although there is an indoor dining area, the current owners admit they spend most of the year dining outdoors, and once you experience the terrace for yourself, it is easy to understand why.

A rear door from the kitchen opens directly into the side garden, while the traditional central hallway leads to three comfortable double bedrooms and two recently renovated bathrooms, each fitted with modern walk-in showers. A further rear door provides access to another shaded terrace and the separate guest accommodation.

The detached casita measures approximately 20 m² and offers a comfortable sleeping area, kitchenette and separate WC, making it ideal for visiting family and friends or providing everyone with a little extra privacy.

Outside, the property continues to impress. The traditional swimming pool is perfectly positioned amongst beautifully landscaped gardens designed for maximum enjoyment with minimal maintenance. Every corner of the garden offers colour, character and peaceful places to relax, whether you prefer sunshine or shade.

The villa benefits from mains drinking water, mains electricity and an installed solar energy system, helping to keep monthly electricity costs remarkably low while providing a more sustainable way of living.

For anyone searching for an authentic Spanish country home with modern comforts, outstanding outdoor living and the timeless charm that has made the Hondón Valley so popular with buyers from across Europe, this villa deserves your attention.

Could this be the lifestyle you have been waiting for? Why not arrange a viewing and experience first-hand everything this wonderful home and the Hondón Valley have to offer?
